Mainstreet celebrates newly imagined Chatham branch

On December 19 Mainstreet opened the doors to its newly renovated 40 Keil branch for the Chatham community.

The new design is a bright, modern and unique approach for a financial institution. "As we created the plans for the re-imagined space we wanted to ensure that we kept our commitment to personalized service at the core of our decisions" shares Mainstreet President and CEO, Janet Grantham. "This meant increasing the amount of rooms available for our members to meet with and have one-on-one discussions with their financial advisor. Providing exceptional personalized financial advice geared uniquely and specifically to each person is truly what sets us apart. The re-imagined space and design will allow us to better serve our existing members, as well as the next generation of Chatham residents looking for an alternative to the big-banks" says Grantham.

As a local financial co-op, Mainstreet is committed to the betterment and growth of the communities we serve. Mainstreet gives back to many excellent local causes throughout the year and took the opportunity the week of the branch opening to invite community partners to the new space to celebrate their partnerships and commitments in Chatham-Kent throughout 2016 which included:

  • $5000 sponsorship and donation to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for the Pumpkin Run
  • $5000 Chatham-Kent 2017 United Way campaign (fundraised through staff Friday Dress Down Day program)
  • $2000 towards food donations to Chatham’s Outreach for Hunger through staff foregoing a Christmas party in favour of giving back to those in need
  • $2000 to supply Christmas gifts for nineteen youth from Chatham Children’s Services
  • $500 to Chatham Children’s Treatment Centre
  • $2750 to Chatham-Kent area schools
  • $850 to Chatham youth recreation
  • Other community giving and support in Chatham-Kent in 2016 totaled over $10,000
